Soles for Food where Old shoes provide Healthy Feet, Clean Water and Nourishing Food
We have a fund raising project called Soles Food, being headed up by Lora Hobbs from MSU and a group of her Friends. We will officially kick off the Sole Food project on October 1st and will continue to collect shoes until November 26th. We will have several locations around town and in Ozark for dropping off shoes, and we are looking for new locations to collect shores.
These used shoes can provide a blessing to many people;
1) We have cleaner closets and we are blessed by giving
2) Protect feet, the shoes showing little or no wear can be used locally for children and teens in Springfield who need the shoes. We provide shoes with light use to our foreign missions along with our food.
3) We sell all other shoes/boots to a reseller to be shipped to Africa and other poor countries. The shoe man pays us for the shoes and he in turn sells them to a resells who exports them to other developing countries and he uses his “profit” to provide clean water systems to third world countries
4) FAH uses the money from the shoes to provide FAH food for these poor countries.
